Ruth's brother Zeke put us in contact with his church, Christian Heritage, who in turn gave us the opportunity to speak at the church and have them pray for us.  Pastor Bradley Cox were extremely gracious and amazingly caring in their efforts to encourage us and support us.  Thank you very, very much.

Chris and Christy Sneed then brought us into their home for some (more) cake and conversation.  All-in-all a pleasant afternoon reconnecting with people and entering into their lives again.

After dragging ourselves into Greenville we spent the afternoon with Ruth's family and grandma out in "the country" celebrating Father's Day.  Enduring the heat for good company and good food we then spent the night with Mary Grace's friends from church sharing our vision and desire to serve in Seattle.

Spent the morning eating blueberry pancakes with Derek and Katie Rigby.  Then hit the road for Greenville, SC for Ruth's family.  Our little Honda CRV hit over 2,000 miles on the trip so far.  Yikes.  Going to have to change the oil again when we get back.  And, oh yeah, Happy Birthday Ruth!!!!!!!  Send her your love.

Savannah with Brady and Kristin King:  Ruth and I were treated to an amazing evening of dinner at Cha Bella then some sweet conversation at the downtown American Legion.  Dinner was awesome, Savannah was beautiful, and the company was perfect.  Thank Brady and Kristin!

Day 8: Orlando 06/17/2009

Said our goodbyes to the Galpin parents and headed to Orlando.  Had lunch with the MIllers and Bressons, then made our way over the PCA General Assembly to meet a bunch of friends now serving as pastors.  Alex and Gabriel then met us for dinner over at Tiajuana Flats (we highly approve, Alex, by the way).

Watching the ocean.
Spent the morning with the dear Ruthie Hinsinger, mother of a pastor's wife in Seattle.  We were then finally able to stop by the beach for a brief spell before off to meet with some more people.  Tomorrow, Orlando!

Spent a relaxing morning with Chattanooga friends in Jensen Beach (see photos below).  Then drove (again) to my parents' home and spent the evening meeting with the Williams.  As usual, conversation was beautiful and the back porch was hoppin'.

Spent the early part of the afternoon at with my parents and friends telling them about our opportunity to go to Seattle.  It was extremely encouraging and affirming to meet everyone.  A big "thank you" to my parents for the graciousness and kindness as caring hosts.

Afterward we raced down to Jensen Beach, Florida for Isaac and Megan's wedding.  Despite the heat, it was a sweet time and beautiful ceremony.  Congratulations Isaac and Megan!
