Spending time in a hotel by yourself is kind of boring.  While I was able to get a lot of necessary work done, I'm pretty glad to finally be with Ruth.  I spent the afternoon working away at two coffee shops and then Ruth's flight finally arrived on Friday evening (some 18 hours late!) and we hit the road to Gainesville, Florida.  Despite the exhaustion, we were glad to finally arrive, chat for a few minutes and then go to sleep.

 
Day 2: Atlanta 06/11/2009

Day 2:  Atlanta.  Much less eventful than yesterday.  After a lovely morning with my sister Carrie in Nashville I set to hit the road for Atlanta with the plan to pick Ruth up from the airport that evening.  Bonnaroo traffic, midway between Nashville and Chattanooga, forced me to change my route through Birmingham.  The drive was quite nice and for most of the ride the air was cool and the windows were down.  A feared slow leak on a tire slowed me down a bit, and then Ruth called to tell me that she would be stuck in Texas over night, to be picked up Friday.  :(  All by my lonesome in Atl., I decided to poke around a bit and then got to our hotel (of which we got a ridiculously great deal on Priceline.com) to watch the basketball game and get some work done.  Sorry Atl. friends, needed to do the work.

About as exciting as it got for me in Atlanta. Also, day 5 or 6 of the 'if I don't get in some resemblance of health I'll have problems here soon' diet and exercise plan.
