Again, reconnected with an old friend.  Thank you Jason for the company and conversation.  It was great to see you.

Then reconnected with an old campus:  USC.  Walked around for about 30 minutes and remembered quickly what summers are like in Columbia, SC.  They are hot.  So we got back in the car to head to a coffee shop so I could update this blog and get back in the A.C.   

It still baffles me how folks survived life and were productive in any sort of way before air conditioning.

One of the great things about this trip has been the opportunity to see friends I haven't seen in years.  This evening was just such a night as we stayed with Chris and his lovely wife Donnette.  I'm pretty sure it had been somewhere around 9 years since I last got a dose of a six foot, bearded red head.
