After a very long drive from Salt Lake City, we arrived safe and sound in San Francisco. Our hosts for the next three nights were Julie, Erik and Kathy. Thank you so very much for your unexpected kindness and hospitality (and the amazing food!).
While in San Francisco, we toured the Golden Gate Bridge, road our bikes across into Sausalito, rode the ferry back across, walked all over the place, ate in Chinatown, searched for parking, walked up the steepest paved road I've ever been on, got our oil changed, did a lot of people watching, and enjoyed the company of our hosts.

Golden Gate Bridge and the incoming fog.

Underneath the bridge.

The fog is pretty consuming.

Once the fog came in, it was quite cold. Yet in the sun--some 1/2 mile away--it was a little hot.

Crissy Field--no fog.

Downtown.

Not sure what this structure is.

A few wedding and engagement photos were going on while we meandered about.

This picture does not do justice to the grade and size of this hill.

Chinatown by night.

Our transportation through much of the city.

The bridge from the other side.

Sausalito (the other side of San Fran).

The bay.

The bridge from the ferry ride back.

Westcoast, ya'll.

Pastor Erik and Tom.

Spent quite a few hours in good conversation.
