We were given the recommendation to take the scenic route to Utah, via Steamboat Springs, CO.  Gone were the city lights and the comfort of a bed; in its place were the expectations of communing with nature and the trial run of our camping equipment.

In Steamboat, we bathed/sat around  in the local natural hot springs, watched what appeared to be a high school ski jump team, walked around the cute downtown, road our bikes from our camp sight, and had a moderate amount of success on our first night camping.
